When I was serving my National Service, I found the time to attend one of the modules in the part-time programme. It was in that module that the Lord got my attention.
Rev. Cindy Weber was teaching the course on ‘Do You Know the Holy Spirit?’, and it was common for her to hold practical sessions of flowing with the Holy Spirit throughout the course. It was in those times that I was ministered to by Rev. Cindy, and I felt God drawing me to hear and learn more of the Word and of Him.
The second module that I attended was a video module on ‘Righteousness’ by Rev. Doug Jones. Who said you can’t learn from videos? My whole life was touched by that video. When I realized that I was righteous in God’s sight, it became a revelation for me. It was like an explosion in my spirit, and my heart burned. I’ve been made righteous! It was not by my works, but by the grace of God that was given to me. Jesus Christ gave me access into God’s throne to obtain whatever I needed! It was also in that course that birthed the desire to learn more of the things of God, and the inheritance that I have in Christ. All these things drew me and kept me coming back to RHEMA.
People say that RHEMA Singapore changed their lives.
More accurately, I would say that RHEMA didn’t change my life – JESUS did! However, what RHEMA did was that RHEMA taught me how to apply the principles outline in the Bible to my everyday life. RHEMA taught me about what Jesus had done on the cross, and the inheritance that I received.
At RHEMA, I learnt to use that inheritance practically in my everyday life. I applied the Word when I was Army. I applied it when I was in University. And now when I’m working, I am applying it to my work as well.
I like what Rev. Larry Hutton said about living stress-free, worry-free and with joy. I can testify that it is by the grace of God that I went through army, university, and even working life joyful and peaceful.
My course is known to be the second most difficult course in the Singapore University. Our course took us from 8am to almost 9pm every day, five days a week, and every single one of my course-mates were under a lot of stress. However, there was a peace that was already implanted in me since my army days, through lessons that I’ve learnt in RHEMA Singapore, and that peace was what saw me through my entire University course!
I like RHEMA Singapore because they have different teachers and preachers that teach on the different subjects in the Bible. It is not a one-man show. God has placed different gifts in the body of Christ for the equipping of the saints, and at RHEMA, I am able to learn under these different ministry gifts.
I like what Rev. Patsy Cameneti used to say about truth. She said that truth is like a mountain. Different preachers preach different slants of the same mountain, with different angles and different viewpoints. Through the whole faculty at RHEMA Singapore, they preach the whole counsel of the Gospel and it really blesses my heart.
RHEMA Singapore is not a Bible School, but a Bible Training Center. It does not just feed you with information about the Bible, but it also trains your heart and your spirit. It establishes you in truth, and teaches you how to work Biblical principles in your everyday life. Learning about the ways of God, and experiencing the faithfulness of God when you apply Biblical truths correctly generates fortitude in your spirit, such that in times of trials, you will know that God is with you, that God is for you and that you can go through anything in life victoriously!
You can be like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, going through and coming out of the fiery trials of life without even the smell of smoke on them. Amen!
You will never know how delicious a dish is until you have tasted it. People can use all sorts of words to describe the dish for you, but it would mean nothing until you have tasted it for yourself.
Likewise, the Bible says “Taste and See that the Lord is good”. It is only when you taste the goodness of the Lord that you would be able to fully appreciate Him. RHEMA Singapore teaches you how to work the Word, so that you can experience the goodness of the Lord in your life.
Have a taste of RHEMA, and be a doer of the Word, and you will know that the Lord is good!
