The part-time programme is also known as the RHEMA Modular Studies (RMS). At RMS you may personalise modules according to your schedule. You may join as a Diploma (part-time), Credit or Audit student.

 

Fast Track Your Part-Time Programme!

With effect from January 2012, in addition to the modules offered on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons, part-time modules may also be taken and completed within one week in conjunction with the full-time programme. You may choose one of these options:

1. WEEKLY MORNING MODULAR CLASSES. Attend the full-time programme. Full-time classes run Mondays to Fridays 8.30am – 12.20pm.

2. REGULAR THREE-WEEK PROGRAMME on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

3. ACCELERATE THE PROGRAMME by doing both!

Note:

• Credit students may take as many full-time modules as they wish.
• Up to one full-time module may be audited per person.
• To complete a module in the full-time programme, please submit the part-time registration form (by mail or in person) to the office at least two working days before the first lesson of the module.

 

Duration

Each part-time module takes about three to four weeks (16 to 20 hours) to complete. If you take the modules consistently as they are being offered, you could complete the entire part-time programme in approximately four years.

Sessions are conducted on:

• Wednesdays: 8.00pm - 9.50pm and
• Saturdays: 2.30pm - 6.20pm (Sessions may end earlier or later, depending on the module duration.)

Modules & Schedule

All 40 modules that are offered in the full-time programme are also offered in the RMS programme. Modules will run a full cycle before they are repeated. Eg. If Christ the Healer is being offered in 2010, the probability of it repeating again will be in 2015 and after.

Assessments

The purposes of assessments are to promote student learning, evaluate the student’s progress and judge the effectiveness of the programme. Generally, most students find the examinations and assignments manageable.

The following modes of assessment are used:

Examinations

Most of our examinations are objective in nature with 25 to 30 questions. (True/False, Multiple Choice and Mix and Match)

Reading Assignments

In most modules taught, approximately 200 pages are required to be read for each subject.

Written Assignments

In some modules, a written assignment or project is required.

Only Credit & Diploma(part-time) students will be accessed. Audit Students will not be accessed based on the above.

Admission

A prospective student must:

• be a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Foreigners must have a valid pass allowing them to remain in Singapore during their studies with us
• be a born again Christian for at least two years be in good standing with his or her local church
• be proficient in the use of English Language have a GCE 'O' Level certificate (at least three Ordinary level Passes) or its equivalent. However students without a CGE 'O' Level certificate may be admitted based on their maturity and sincerity in obtaining biblical education and ministerial training
• obtain favorable personal and pastoral recommendations have the ability to finance the cost of the programme

RMS Application Procedure

Audit or Credit

1. Download RMS Audit/Credit application and payment forms.
2. Return completed application and payment forms, together with payment by mail (cheque payment) or  (cash payment).

 

Diploma (Part-Time)

• Download Diploma (Part-Time) application, evaluation and payment forms.

• Return (via mail or in person) the completed application forms with:
  • One recent passport-size color photograph attached
  • A non-refundable application fee of S$25.00
  • Two personal evaluation forms sealed in enclosed envelopes
  • One church leader's evaluation form sealed in enclosed envelopes

Note:

1. Applications will be processed when ALL required documents and payment are received.
2. The application process will normally take two weeks. You will be notified by mail (for RMS Diploma) and by email (For Audit or Credit) of the application outcome.

Note

1. Cheques may be issued to "RHEMA Bible Training Center Singapore" and mailed to the office.
2. Cash payment may be made in person at the office, during operating hours.

How did you first hear about RHEMA Singapore?

How did RHEMA Singapore change your life?

People say that RHEMA Singapore changed their lives.

More accurately, I would say that RHEMA didn’t change my life – JESUS did! However, what RHEMA did was that RHEMA taught me how to apply the principles outline in the Bible to my everyday life. RHEMA taught me about what Jesus had done on the cross, and the inheritance that I received.

At RHEMA, I learnt to use that inheritance practically in my everyday life. I applied the Word when I was Army. I applied it when I was in University. And now when I’m working, I am applying it to my work as well.

I like what Rev. Larry Hutton said about living stress-free, worry-free and with joy. I can testify that it is by the grace of God that I went through army, university, and even working life joyful and peaceful.

My course is known to be the second most difficult course in the Singapore University. Our course took us from 8am to almost 9pm every day, five days a week, and every single one of my course-mates were under a lot of stress. However, there was a peace that was already implanted in me since my army days, through lessons that I’ve learnt in RHEMA Singapore, and that peace was what saw me through my entire University course!

What do you like about RHEMA Singapore?

I like RHEMA Singapore because they have different teachers and preachers that teach on the different subjects in the Bible. It is not a one-man show. God has placed different gifts in the body of Christ for the equipping of the saints, and at RHEMA, I am able to learn under these different ministry gifts.

I like what Rev. Patsy Cameneti used to say about truth. She said that truth is like a mountain. Different preachers preach different slants of the same mountain, with different angles and different viewpoints. Through the whole faculty at RHEMA Singapore, they preach the whole counsel of the Gospel and it really blesses my heart.

How is RHEMA Singapore different from other Bible Schools that you know of?

RHEMA Singapore is not a Bible School, but a Bible Training Center. It does not just feed you with information about the Bible, but it also trains your heart and your spirit. It establishes you in truth, and teaches you how to work Biblical principles in your everyday life. Learning about the ways of God, and experiencing the faithfulness of God when you apply Biblical truths correctly generates fortitude in your spirit, such that in times of trials, you will know that God is with you, that God is for you and that you can go through anything in life victoriously!

You can be like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, going through and coming out of the fiery trials of life without even the smell of smoke on them. Amen!

What would you say to someone who is deciding to attend RHEMA Singapore, but is not sure?

You will never know how delicious a dish is until you have tasted it. People can use all sorts of words to describe the dish for you, but it would mean nothing until you have tasted it for yourself.

Likewise, the Bible says “Taste and See that the Lord is good”. It is only when you taste the goodness of the Lord that you would be able to fully appreciate Him. RHEMA Singapore teaches you how to work the Word, so that you can experience the goodness of the Lord in your life.

Have a taste of RHEMA, and be a doer of the Word, and you will know that the Lord is good!
