Graduating Class of 2010 • School of Ministry (Charter Class) 2010

We realized that one year ago we were all in the School of Ministry programme practicing to do the actual mission work that we are doing now!!! Day by day, all the things that we have been taught came to fruition. We used all the advices given eg. look at everyone in the eyes, attract their attentions with different intonation and loudness, crack jokes to wake people up, step away from notes to tell a story when people are tired after many hours, ask questions to get a more responsive crowd, etc etc..... Wow! SOM is working! SOM is coming alive practically! Glory to God!

When I was still a student at RHEMA Singapore in 2010, one of the faculty released a prophetic word over my life - I am not an arrow, but that God will make me a cannon ball, so that when it is being released it will impact many lives and not a few. I did not struggle to receive these prophetic words. Those words gave me a sense of peace in God and I kept it closed to my heart. A year and a half has passed and I have witnessed this prophecy being fulfilled after completing the School of Ministry training at RHEMA Singapore.
The most recent assignment was to teach Christ the Healer at a Bible Training Center in Nepal. It was such an experience! On the first day, students were regularly excusing themselves to go up to their hostel. I later found out that many of the students were not feeling well and had to excuse themselves to rest and nap during the classes. My spirit was not at peace with what was shared. That night I prayed and sought the Lord for wisdom and prayed for the well being of the students.
On the second day, sensing the students needed to resist the attacks of the enemy, I challenged them to take a stand on God’s Word. Many would have missed the teachings if they were not in class. I shared with them, in faith, that healing was possible and that they will be well by the end of the course. They were encouraged and stayed through the classes. They received the Word of God concerning healing and that healing is possible when faith is applied to God’s Word.
All praise and thanks be to God for His tangible presence throughout the course! On the forth day, 16 students testified that they have received healing for stomach cramps, diarrhea, migraine, giddiness, and toothache. They had claimed their healing through believing what the Scriptures say that God is both able and willing to heal all!
Some other interesting stories included one of the students who showed me segments of her bible that were heavily highlighted. This was the first time she ever highlighted her bible. All the highlighted portions were healing scriptures. She highlighted not just verses but the entire passages relating healing promises and Jesus' healing ministry.
Another student shared that just after the first day's teaching, she had to go out to buy a new exercise book for taking notes. There were simply so much new truths that she was gaining from the Scriptures on healing and needed one just for the topic on healing.
On the day of departure, the principal of the training center shared that although there are about 30 students in the class, however, the lessons taught will reach thousands of lives and beyond. Many students shared that this is one class they will want to share with their friends. They were encouraged and looking forward to pray and administer healing through the power of the Holy Spirit in them.
All praise and glory to God for making all these possible! Thank you Rhema Singapore for the training and connections to the nations!

In August 2011, six of us made a divine and fruitful trip East Malaysia -Rev Joe, Rev Mary, Dean Samuel, Rev Mary, Francis (my husband) and myself.
For me, it has been a journey with the Lord. Two years ago, the Lord gave me a vision about the revival in East Malaysia. Zechariah 2:5 (NIV) - And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,' declares the Lord, `and I will be its glory within.'
In April this year, the Lord told me "the time is now for the fulfillment of that vision." Immediately in my spirit, I knew RHEMA Singapore has a part to play in this revival in East Malaysia. This August, the team from Rhema Singapore visited my homeland. All of us took this step of faith with God!
All of us really saw the hand of God in the three places that we visited: Kuching, Sibu and Kota Kinabalu. People were hungry for God's Word and they were so open to RHEMA. Many wanted to enroll immediately! We were all amazed by what God was and is going to do in East Malaysia. All the people we met were really divine appointments arranged by God! We underestimated God before this trip and it turned out to be an absolute amazing and glorious trip! God is sooooo..... good!
During this trip, the word "equipping" was heard so many times from various people. It has become clear that RHEMA Singapore is to help equip the people of East Malaysia in this revival. Revival will begin in the heart of individuals because God wants to be the wall of fire around His people and the glory within them!

Returning to RHEMA Singapore was like a breath of fresh air! While being out in the mission fields is rewarding, one of the struggles I faced was the dearth of 'meaty', Word-based teaching which I was used to getting back in Singapore. Online sermons helped, as also my personal time with God. But sometimes, there's nothing like a man of God standing before you in the flesh, preaching the Word on peace, and then laying His hands on you...in flesh and blood. It was like instant recharge empowering me to go the distance when I return to India.
Another highlight was reconnecting with friends and teachers at RHEMA Singapore. As it can get lonely at times while doing God's work, it was wonderful to be able to catch up with the RHEMA family, and to exchange stories on what God has been doing.
Wow! Coming back to Rhema Singapore was like coming back to my own family members of God. Praise God we made it home!
Rev. Joe has been constantly encouraging us to return to Rhema Singapore, especially during the Life in the Spirit seminars. During the recent seminar with Rev. Larry Hutton, we were able to soak and receive in the Lord’s presence and truth! Dr. Larry Hutton was straight to the point on his teachings and clear in his teaching.
I also enjoyed meeting friends and sharing what the Lord has been doing in our lives and the ministry in the mission field.
We are exploring the possibility of starting RHEMA Shillong (Northeast India) in early 2012. This is part of a greater vision to equip the saints through teaching of the Word of God. God willing, we would like to participate in the setting up of more RHEMA schools in this part of the world!

Praise The Lord! It has been such a wonderful trip to RHEMA Khabarovsk Russia! Everything was great! The food was good, the weather was perfect, the students were a joy to teach and be with. They were hospitable and made us felt so loved. Praise God for them! Rev. Cynthia and myself were greatly blessed. I am refreshed and lifted up in my spirit. The greatest blessing was seeing God at work in the students. They were hungry and it was a joy to see them receiving so much from God. It was so thrilling to hear that when they apply what we taught in class God just confirmed His Word spoken through our mouths. We saw their countenance change over the days and we saw breakthroughs in them. It was so satisfying!
All glory and praise to God. It is good to do His work and I am enjoying the ride!
Graduating Class of 2010 • Genevieve Lau: School of Ministry (Charter Class) 2010

Genevieve and I had a wonderful time at Hosanna BTC. We got to visit the Badi Girls' Home twice so that Genevieve can talk to the girls to encourage them. The classes also went very very well and there was a great need for the students to learn about prosperity, money, business etc from a biblical perspective. We gained some insight into the caste system that gives many an inferior complex and a mentality that they couldn't do it. So telling them God wants to prosper them was very liberating for them to hear.

As a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center Singapore, I'm better equipped to do the work of my Father. Currently, I'm helping my senior Pastors (Pastor David Maxey and his wife Pastor Inga) in the work of the ministry here in Khabarovsk, Russia. We are so blessed, even though we are quite young, we are privileged to be the pastors of a church, and the instructors of such a wonderful and life changing ministry as Rhema Khabarovsk Russia (RKR)!
What the Lord has done for us here has exceeded my dreams. He has made them a reality - RKR is open and operating well. As the church is growing, we see a huge need for ministers who will take their place in the Kingdom, and go and do what God has called them to do. Training such ministers is exactly what RKR was designed for. Russia will never be the same!!

Interpreter: Pastor Vera Ivanova • Graduating Class of 2010
Within a short period of less than 6 months after graduating from the School of Ministry (SOM), I had the opportunity to travel to Khabarovsk, Russia to teach Biblical Prosperity. The Russian trip has been such a blessing for me. It is such a joy to see the Russians so hungry for the Word of God. This trip has made me realized that sometimes we, in Singapore, have been so blessed with so many good teachings and preaching that we do not appreciate them as much anymore. The Russians, having so little, are so hungry for the Word. This trip has helped me to appreciate the Word more.
We ministered to the students on the last day of the trip and the Lord had put in me word of wisdom and word of knowledge for the students which were just so amazing. The students were really ministered to. Praise the Lord! All glory to God!
This lyric from Rhema’s Alma Mater has strike a strong note in my heart since the day I sang it during my graduation. It has been the mandate I lived by ever since: Rhema taught me all I needed to know… Into the World I will go… Never the same. Indeed, the doors were opened for me since graduation in 2008. Places like Myanmar, Vietnam, Padang Indonesia, Nepal and the latest Russia, to teach the Word and be part of the end time harvest. Praise the Lord! The preparation for this recent trip to Russi a to teach “Old Testament Survey” has deepened my love for the Old Testament like never before. I can’t help but fall in love over and over again with my Loving, Everlasting, Merciful and Faithful GOD! The loving footprints of God were written everywhere in the OT, whichever angle I look or study. I was greatly blessed by just preparing to teach!

Graduating Class of 2010 & 2009 • School of Ministry (Charter Class) 2010

A Youth Camp was held at Kothalgari, Assam, North East India in October 2010. About 200 people belonging to the Bodo Evangelical Lutheran Church (BFLC) attended the camp.
Just a month after graduating from RHEMA Singapore’s School of Ministry (SOM), my husband, Gyan, and myself were able to minister in a conference in Assam for around 200 youths and leaders. We also had three Rhema Alumni from Singapore to join us. It was very meaningful as we witnessed one another put in practice what we had learned.
Gyan and myself also taught at another conference two months later - around 2,000 people this time, preaching at smaller churches in Assam and Shillong in between.
RHEMA Singapore has prepared Gyan and myself to minister more effectively together. By receiving the same teachings and impartation, it has cemented us, spiritually speaking, which is advantageous when we minister together. More than once, we learned God was telling us both the same things regarding what He wanted to do or say through us in the conferences.
Gyan and Joy invited us and Nigel to participate in the Youth Camp in Assam. All of us shared the Word and ministered to those who attended the camp. We covered some topics taught at Rhema. Many were baptised in the Holy Spirit and several of them spoke in tongues, some were as young as 5 or 6 years of age. This was our first trip to India and we stood amazed at the work of the Holy Spirit.
God has used Rhema Singapore to build us up in the Word and the Spirit, line upon line, precept upon precept. We had attended an eight-week course called School of Ministry (SOM) conducted for the first time at RHEMA Singapore in 2010. SOM has trained and equipped us for ministry.
Besides Assam, we praise God for opening doors for us to minister in Coimbatore and Erode (South India) among Tamil speaking people in December 2010. What we learnt at SOM enabled us to work better with interpreters.
The full-time programme and SOM has prepared us to preach confidently in nations. We are living in exciting times for the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back sooner than we think! The harvest is plentiful and the labourers are few. SOM is a wonderful course which prepares Ministers of God for His Work.
We would also encourage other alumni to attend the RHEMA-Alumni Relations Team (RHEMA-ART) meetings where like-minded alumni come together and are spiritually encouraged.
Graduating Class of 2010 • Alfrin: School of Ministry (Charter Class) 2010

Praise God for a fruitful two months in Auckland from last Nov 2010 till Jan 2011. We thank God for the opportunity to minister at a two-day Spiritual Renewal Seminar and to conduct a weekly leadership training on Life in the Spirit over four weeks in Nov and Dec 2010, as well as preaching in the Sunday services of these churches.
The pastors of the two local churches where we ministered and described their experience at these meetings as "A fresh breath of the Spirit" bringing renewal to the church and "an injection of faith" as they hear the word proclaimed.
Indeed RHEMA Singapore has equipped us for the ministry which God has called us to fulfill. We went forth with a strong awareness of our mandate from the school to preach the word with all boldness and believe God for utterance by the Spirit and that the Holy Spirit will always, always work with us to confirm the preaching of His word with a demonstration of His power and presence to set people free and to change lives. And He did! All glory to God!

The full-time and School of Ministry (SOM) programmes have inspired and prepared me for ministry. What I've learnt in these programmes were practical and easy to apply, especially the SOM programme.
Two months of solid, practical teaching and preaching in SOM transformed me completely. I learnt to step over into the anointing and flow with the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to take over and not depending too much on my notes. During classes, I was greatly encouraged and received confirmation from faculty and classmates that I am indeed graced and anointed to teach and preach. That put a stop to the doubts and fear. Instead, it built my confidence and boldness to go teach and preach the Word!
During March, May and November 2010, I ministered in my hometown in Sibu, Sarawak. During these trips, I’ve witnessed many who were filled with the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues; renewed relationships with God; emotional and physical healing; bones moving and clicking in my palms as I laid hands and prayed; people whose vision became clearer; clutches thrown out and the lame walked! Many are on fire for God now! All glory to God almighty!!
Mid-November last year, I flew to China when I was informed that my dad was in critical condition and was warded in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Thank God for bringing me to RBTCS. When I got to China, I knew exactly what to do. I used all that I've learnt from RBTCS and applied them. It was indeed a fight of faith for both my father and I. Within 10 days in the ICU, we saw miracles daily! Brand new lungs! Brand new heart! Glory to God! Even the doctors and nurses were shocked to see the great improvements daily. God is good!
Receiving training at RBTCS has been the best journey I've taken with the Lord! Praise the Lord!
